2022 - so many Garden Club things to do!
The Village Castle Pines Garden Club is an organization of vibrant members who enjoy gardening, education, and charitable and social activities. Most members are residents of the Village at Castle Pines, but there is no residency requirement. Please click on the topics below to see more information about Garden Club activities.
- Community Gardening - The Garden Club helps to maintain two local gardens, the Serenity Garden in our Village and Tweet's Memorial Garden at Cherokee Ranch and Castle. By volunteering in these gardens, we share a sense of community, while making our community more beautiful.
- Education - The Garden Club monthly program topics range from floral design, to healthy houseplants, and even fire mitigation. During the pandemic, the Club pivoted successfully to video presentations, from it's traditional in-person meetings. In addition, field trips and overnight adventures to private and public gardens in the United States and abroad are offered periodically throughout the year.
- Charity Outreach - The Garden Club supports two local charities: the Help and Hope Center and the Crisis Center. Activities include both fund-raising and direct assistance though "Drive Through Drop Off" events, also initiated during the pandemic to provide direct and immediate assistance for these worthy causes.
- Nurturing Friendships - Our annual Garden Club events cultivate friendships among members. In addition to regular meetings, social events include Wine in the Garden, an Annual Summer Party, luncheons, and a Holiday Brunch.
